My ultimate goal is to be able to assist others and improve their quality of life. In order to reach this goal, I aim to pursue a field in dermatology. My educational aspirations include graduating Auburn University with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. The rigor of this degree will place me on a path to be able to attend and succeed in medical school. After medical school, I plan to attain the training necessary in order to become a dermatologist. My goal is to work in a private practice facility surrounded by physicians who are also committed to dedicating themselves to improving the welfare of others.
I aspire to be a dermatologist to aid and support all people. However, I am particularly passionate about children and young adults. As a youth, I struggled with skin problems and was constantly self conscious due to these issues. My mother realized that I was concerned and made me an appointment with my dermatologist. The dermatologist quickly solved the issue and I regained confidence. Thus, I want to be able to build people’s confidence as my dermatologist did for me. Teenagers especially have a tendency to have low self- worth and are also typically prone to skin issues. Thus, I plan to aid these young adults who need guidance, as I did, regarding their skin. I hope to help these people to realize their beauty, strength, and value.
