Attending college by Oziel - February 2013 Scholarship Essay

The reason why I decided to go to college was to study the arts and film. I did not realize my love for art till I got into college, but film has always been my top goal and passion since i was a freshman in high school. Since where i lived, film was not really a big thing around here, it was mainly business or farming. Not a lot of people saw it has an option of a life style. For my first two years I attended Utah State University, where i learn my passion for art, being able to create something that was in my mind and bring it to life, or to capture the moment in pictures. But since it did not have any film majors or oppurtunities, I decided to trasfer to Salt Lake Community College to get a head start in it, and since then I have been able to work in projects with film. I am only two hours away from family and friends, and it  is hard for me to be that far apart, since they are a huge part in my life, but do not attend to fail the reason that I came here to do.The reason I picked this school was because I was short on money, and they had classes to teach me about film and other material to help me get through with my major. I have only been here one year, and they have already helping me to get transfered to the near by University, the University of Utah, where I can continue my education in the arts and in film. I love art with a passion so unbearable and to one day become the only thing I told myself I wold be after high school, feels like a dream come true. A goal and a dream that I wish to accompish one day.
