What I would do with unlimited time and money in order to make a positive impact to the world. by Olivia - May 2025 Scholarship Essay

If I had an unlimited amount of time and money to bring a positive impact on the world based on use what I would learn in my education major in journalism, I would put it to good use into covering stories around the world that aren’t given the attention it deserves by focusing in investigative journalism. My goal would be to bring general audiences of different societies together to read or watch stories that aren’t brought to attention as they should. For example, in like recent events where citizens in several different countries protesting against presidential Trump for his actions as president that was broadcasted and covered everywhere else in the world but to American citizens; which didn’t come to our attention until the app ‘TikTok’ was brought back on. I would the unlimited time and money into use by covering stories that are groundbreaking and important for the public interest to be informed about. I would also cover stories about events such as political unrest and crimes that are happening in several parts of the world that the general population aren’t or wouldn’t be informed about before hand and bring it the attention that it deserves, not just to American audiences but to the world wide audiences too.
