Math has made me learn more about myself. It has made me see the world in a different way; there were ways that I found that helped me learn more about myself and how to solve difficult problems. It has shown me that it is not impossible to solve even the hardest of the hardest problems. This subject has made me more confident in what I can achieve because I would build my confidence to solve problems that at times would stress me out to the point that I would cry. This elective was not only one of the hardest topics in school but one that really impacted my way to think and work. I remember that during Geometry I struggled to understand what was going on, but once I got into Algebra II then FST formulas and strategies to solve these problems started to fall in place.
My freshman year was not as bad as my sophomore year when I was learning Geometry. Geometry was one of the hardest topics for me to learn in math and even though I thought I did not learn anything I was wrong; it helped me to, later on, understand and remember some of its formulas for trigonometry in FST. Thanks to this elective I have been able to be more successful in math and understand things faster, as well as making better working and solving strategies.
