Finishing Strong by Noelle - August 2022 Scholarship Essay
Throughout my academic career, hundreds, if not more goals have been set and achieved. Combined, these goals have brought me to where I stand today, a rising senior. Senior year can mean many different things to many different people; a bittersweet goodbye, a farewell ringing of good riddance, or it can be a chance to wrap up your academics with a strong finish. My senior year would fall into the last of those categories.
In this upcoming school year, I plan to try and make a lasting impact on my high school. As a freshman, the seniors seemed to be untouchable, or at least I perceived them that way. They inspired me to work hard throughout high school, but still have fun and make lifelong friendships. My goal for this year is to achieve first honors at the end of the semester, but also to soak up every fleeting moment I have with my friends. My goal for this year is to make memories that I am proud of, which would be graduating with first honors and walking to receive my diploma with my best friends beside me. My goal is to feel proud of the hard work I put into high school when I finally feel my diploma in my hand.
This upcoming school year holds the answers to many of the questions I have currently. College, a career, and leaving home will all be much closer at the conclusion of my senior year. Despite these big changes, at the end of my senior year, I hope that I will have graduated with first honors.
