Living together by Nnenna - November 2016 Scholarship Essay
Firstly, I have a previous college experience. I am a graduate of a two year community college. Here I stress the word community. It was a very pleasurable experience. It was like living in a community or a small town. The college society is a society indeed. Transferring to a four year college will hopefully lead to another fellowship experience.
Moreover, the students were a close-knit group especially the students of my graduating class. We did things together. We would study together at study sessions every chance we got. We would eat together in the cafeteria. We would socialize together. Once, as part of my Spanish language class, we went to dance classes to learn salsa dancing.
That is not all I had the pleasure of holding a pizza party. It was my birthday and I wanted to do something special for my classmates. There was plenty to eat and drink. There was pizza of course and lots of drinks. The party was a big success. I even invited a lecturer who was gracious enough to come.
Finally, living together or as a group is the best part of the college experience I will be most thankful for. People who socialize live longer and less stressful lives. I believe that living together led me to have a less stressful life in college, and survive the college experience.
