My Challenging Future by Nigel - December 2015 Scholarship Essay
The future the time that is going to come. A time not yet witnessed yet by anyone. I can see my own future though. I know that sounds like some fairy tale from a children’s bedtime story. But this future, is one of myself, my goals help myself to see this future clearly. I have made goals so far in the past to challenge myself, and as I continue to make new goals I am able to see my future ahead of me.
My future goals for myself have shown me my future successes as they have shown me my past successes from past goals. Here is my timeline that I wish to accomplish in the next ten years. I see myself happily at my job as a mechanical engineer working for Boeing, after obtaining my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. After one full year while working at Boeing I will seek to go to school again. Getting my master’s degree in either Manufacturing Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Boeing will either help pay for my education or I will obtain scholarships. After obtaining my Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering I will return to Boeing for more work. Three years will pass and I will enjoy my work at Boeing for that time. By then I would either be promoted through my work that I have done but I will refine my resume. Depending on my options that I will explore I will make a decision to stay with Boeing or to walk my own way. With the education under my belt and my previous years at Boeing I will be able to get offers from other companies. At the end of this ten year timeline I am sure I will find other happiness to fill my life other than education and my work. Although my goals, can’t tell where and who I will meet across this journey, the journey of my life.
Without education, I will not be able to do any of this. My undergraduate degree, will get my foot in the door to be hired by Boeing. Plus with my education I will be able to get an eye for each type of engineering I would have my Master’s degree in, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering. Without education I can’t even complete step one of my goal, such as going to college and completing my undergraduate degree. Without that I am nothing, just some high school student, with big dreams.
Throughout my ten year timeline and my eyes on education for my future I am sure that you have seen that, I am nothing without future education and that my goals require that I must have post education after high school is over.
