If I were to study abroad, I believe it would positively impact my college education. Studying abroad would have many advantages for myself such as personal growth, valuable life skills, leadership skills, etc. These skills would benefit me positively throughout my college education and life ahead of me after college.
Experiencing personal growth in college is important to me because it’s the time in your life that you are preparing to begin your career. By living in another country I would gain a new understanding of personal heritage, culture, and values. I would begin to become more independent, and self confident as I became more adapted to the new culture where I would be studying.
I will be able to strengthen my leadership skills by being abroad and having to gain a better understanding of different leadership styles. By managing different styles, I will be able to gain valuable experiences working in diverse teams throughout my studies in college.
By studying abroad I will also advance my career by standing out from other job candidates with the skills that I gained through international experience. It would show my future employer I am motivated, hardworking, and independent to be abe to move away and study abroad. Studying abroad typically influences you to pursue higher degrees, which I believe would positively impact my college education and future career.
