History teacher by Nathaniel - October 2016 Scholarship Essay

If the roles were reversed and I had to teach a class instead of being a student I would teach history. History to me has always been a really cool subject that i enjoy reading and talking about. The two major reasons are that I love history, and I want to teach it in the future.
History to me is the best subject in school it shows us how humans were and how they thought and acted. It teaches us what society has done wrong in the past and how to not make the same mistakes. Also history shows us how people fought wars and I think that war and strategy is very interesting. Teaching kids this stuff would be cool to me because talking to people about history and getting their opinions on certain subjects in history. The other reason I would teach this subject is because I plan to in the future.
History is what i plan to teach when I graduate college. I have always wanted to be a history teacher and have the chance to teach my teachers now and my class would be really cool. I think I could really teach it well. That is the other reason that I would pick history to teach if me and my teachers roles switched.
In conclusion history in my opinion is the best subject to teach and to share with the world. That is why I plan to teach it. These are the two reasons I would switch with the teacher and teach history.
