Dream Room by Nathan - July 2020 Scholarship Essay

As soon as you walk in the room your nostrils are bombarded with hints of lavender and orange. You look around to see white decorative lights scattered across the room. There are also posters ranging from periodic tables to hip-hop artists. Upon entry of the classroom you must take your shoes off because the actual classroom floor is a blue Bashian silk rug that is soft to the touch. As you take a seat in a cozy Pacha lounge chair the amusing teacher's assistant greets you and asks if you would like anything to drink and if you need any supplies before the class lecture starts. The lights are lowered and class begins!

This is what my dream classroom would look like. I picked these key items and objects to be placed in the room because all of these things make me feel at ease and comfortable. I feel that if my classroom was designed like this, there would not be any problems with me learning and performing well on assignments and tests.

From soft silk floors to pleasing citrus smells, this peaceful, zen environment would only promote optimal learning capabilities for me and would allow me to excel as a hardworking student.
