One of the most frightening things ever encountered by the human race is the thought of the future. Human beings in general are obsessed with controlling the world around them, and the future is very hard to control. Things can go in any direction, the future is uncertain, however there are things in the present that can control the future. Education is one of the biggest examples. That is why education is so important, and why I plan on pursuing it. So, where do I see myself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I would be 27, and I am sure a lot of things will be different. Firstly, I am planning on having a degree, and possibly working on another. I want to start with a bachelors degree in Pediatric Psychology, with a minor in fine arts. This is because I am fascinated by psychology and want to help children. I also want to do research in alternative treatments for mental health issues such as aromatherapy, therapy through art, and simulated therapy. After getting this degree, I may go into practice, or I might get an elementary teaching degree to go with it. As I said, I love children, and I love working with them. Depending on what happens, I might major in elementary education and minor in psychology. Whichever path I choose, I want to work with kids, and study the human brain and how it works. And considering this is entirely education, then I suppose that is how education will affect me in this respect.
I am also planning on getting married. Now, I know that things can always change, and I might not get married for a while, but I really hope I am by then. I also might have kids, but that is uncertain as well. All I really know is that I want someone who loves me for who I am, loves animals and children, and is intelligent. Usually, when looking for attributes in other people, you first must find them in yourself. So, I think that the more education I get, the more intelligent I become, the more likely that intelligent people will be attracted to me. So that is how education will affect me here.
Overall, I don’t know what the future will bring. I hope it is going to be a good one. However, I am preparing the best I can by gaining an education, and learning as much as I can. I want to continue to learn and progress throughout my entire life, and of course education is a big part of that. So that is where I think the future will take me. As long as I continue to learn and grow, and do my best, then I think that the future is beautiful.
