Will Smith once said, "I want the world to be better because I was here." I believe that everyone was placed on earth with a purpose, and my purpose is to provide care to others. I want to use my knowledge to impact as many people as possible. Through hard work every day, I plan to reach my goal by giving back to the community and will continue to work hard to reach my goal to shape the world. To achieve my dreams, I will pursue nursing with academic excellence, then excel to a graduate level.

I've always imagined myself as a high achiever and leader from a young age. I know I have the potential to do more if I put my mind to it. I've worked hard to achieve a spot on the high honor roll each semester with the motivation to be great, and I can proudly say I have accomplished this goal. Doing so gave me a sense of purpose and built confidence to succeed. Besides my grades, I've also participated in different leadership roles in my community, such as a public chairperson for my musical honor society, first chair violinist to lead the section, and a dance coach for younger dancers. As I continue my education, I plan to set achievable goals throughout my college experience. Not only do I want to excel in my education, but I also thrive on being excellent in my future nursing career.

In the fall of 2022, I will begin my college journey at Temple University as a nursing student. There are many nurses in my family; my mother, grandmother, and aunts. I recently watched my mother work through the covid-19 pandemic. I applaud her for stepping up to face an unknown crisis while calmly protecting her family. I got to witness the honor, sacrifice, and dedication that comes with nursing. My mother and other nurses were stressed, fearful, and overwhelmed but still rose to the challenge each day. And with each endless shift, her layers of protective gear would make it more challenging to perform the job, but it came naturally for her. Inspired by my mother, I decided to be a part of that legacy. I want to use my nursing skills and nurturing gift to make a difference in many lives to impact the world. I plan to focus on my dedication and compassion while continuing to grow in my new role.

Due to the high demand in the nursing profession, the skies are the limit when it comes to excelling to the next level. Once I finish my four years of college and receive my bachelor's, I am inspired to continue my education into grad school. I hope to specialize as a nurse anesthetist, nurse informatics, or even have the opportunity to explore the world as a travel nurse. Regardless of the path I chose, my goal is to make a difference in the world.

In conclusion, I look forward to starting my journey at Temple University with a positive outlook on my future. I am grateful that I have found an interest that I can use to better the world. I will continue to maintain my academic achievements, fulfill my purpose, and explore endless nursing opportunities.
