My dream classroom would consist of interactive group project sitting. There would be a group of seats turned toward one another for joint classroom participation, brainstorming, and projects. We would be able to congregate and discuss lectures. The teacher would be able to walk around the classroom and instruct as well as interact with students. I believe student teacher interaction is very important in success. Not only does the student have opportunities to discuss the subject at hand but they can ask questions and or challenge and support the topic at hand. The teacher would know with student interaction if his/her lesson is being understood and comprehended the way he/she intended it to be.
The classroom would have comfortable sitting with the use of large beanbag chairs, standing computer desks along the wall as well as standing workstations. Students learn differently and this would help adjust to various students way of learning; some like to lounge back while others like to get up and move around or fidget. My dream classroom would have white boards all around the classroom so that students as well as the instructor could update notes. With continuous interaction between the students and professor, the students will be successful in learning the subject as well as expand their communication skills.
