What would you teach if you could teach any class you attended? I think i would be a chemistry teacher, because i love science in general; however, chemistry i love more than anything because of all the lab opportunities, learning about the different elements, and lastly all the different things you can do with chemistry. Together they make a amazing class to teach along with all the students you get to see and teach.
Science is a amazing course and all the sub categories it has makes it one of the most important things to teach ever. However, chemistry is the most important field in my opinion; Everything is made up of chemicals even in geology. as Foxkin said "why do we wear diamonds and not calcium carbonate on our fingers?". It is also important because just the addition of a single oxygen atom can turn water from H2O to H2O2. One is poison and one isn't and chemistry helps us understand this and even turn it from the poison into clean water. That is why chemistry is important in my opinion.
Now then i would teach chemistry because if you're good at chemistry then you can teach it easily. Especially when you can teach your students with labs, because some students don't learn by sitting down and taking notes. A lot of students need hands on experience and you cant teach that way easily in other subjects. You can easily make your own labs and customize the instructions to teach the lesson easily, and as a added bonus labs make the lesson fun and more likely for students to pay attention. That makes it easier to teach the students as a whole and makes it fun for me too.
Furthermore, I can teach others about the periodic table and all the elements on it. I would also be able to teach about the properties of those elements and which one will react and which ones wont. Showing them how sodium and water don't go together would be hilarious and amazing to watch them jump in their seats. Also showing them the difference between what gases can have a reaction and which ones wont do anything would be fun for us both. It would be a great review for me and a fun lesson for them.
Additionally, Chemistry has a lot of applications in real life; these applications benefits others greatly. Every day we breath air, we drink water, we convert these things from one chemical, or molecule to another within our bodies. For example we breath in a mixture of numerous gases into our bodies and convert them into CO2. Chemistry tells us exactly how much of each gas will give us the other and why it doesn't poison us instead. Being able and having the opportunity to others would be my greatest joy.
Lastly and in conclusion, Chemistry has taught me many things that i would love to pass on to others. It also is a fun subject to learn and explore making it one of the easiest subjects to teach; Not only that, but chemistry is a perfect example of a subject everyone should know. It would be fun to teach others because of all the labs you can do with the elements alone. Finally, being able to pass on the knowledge i received to others would be something i would enjoy greatly.
