Most would say that if they took a gap year they would use it to travel and see the world. For me a gap year would be the time to get myself prepared for what is to come. Preparing myself could range from emotional preparation to financial preparation. In this essay I am going to explain how I would make the most of a gap year.
I would personally use a gap year to financially prepare myself for school. While you are in school it is sometimes difficult to focus on schoolwork while maintaining on job. With a gap year, I could easily work a full-time job and save up my finances for school. Doing this would make going to school so much easier because you could use your saved up finances for everyday use.
Traveling would be fun to do while on a gap year but that could also be done while you are in school. It includes going on spring break with friends or traveling for a football game. Therefore, working would be making the most of the time you have. It works out great because you’re not going straight into school and you are gaining extra financial security for when you do start school. Overall it is a win-win!
