Historical Dinner by My - February 2016 Scholarship Essay

Thomas Jefferson is an incredible president. He reduced America's debt and bought the Louisiana purchase that is now known as the best purchase. With out it the United States of America would have not been this huge. If I were to have a dinner with any historical person, I would have choose Thomas Jefferson because he changed America in a beneficial way and I am so fascinated with him. I would ask him what his mind was thinking when he made all of those accomplishments, and what his thoughts are on America today. I want to know what he would change and do differently, because the twenty first century is totally different from the past. Therefore, having dinner with Thomas Jefferson would be a great learning experience for me to possibly help change America to be great again.
At this moment, we as a nation are still developing as a whole, and as a whole we are changing everyday, either in a positive or negative way. In my eyes since Thomas Jefferson has accomplished many things in his life, advice from him woud benefit us as a country. His importance in our society is demonstrated by Jefferson on the two dollar bill. Since he impacted our life greatly, he is being remembered by the green paper we used in our daily life. Thus, having dinner with Jefferson would be exciting to sit across someone old that saw what America had become from the bottom to the top.
