What is your favorite non-traditional way to learn and what are you currently learning outside of school? by Muskan - September 2024 Scholarship Essay
In an age where information is more readily available than ever, podcasts are one of my favorite non-traditional ways to study. Podcasts provide a dynamic and adaptable learning experience, enabling me to assimilate information while multitasking. Whether I'm driving, exercising, or relaxing at home, I may explore a variety of topics without the use of textbooks or formal settings. The conversational style of podcasts frequently makes hard subjects simpler to understand, as experts break down intricate concepts in an engaging and relevant manner. This approach allows for a more comprehensive comprehension of topics ranging from history and science to personal growth and current affairs.
I'm now using podcasts to investigate personal growth and self-improvement. I listen to podcasts about psychology, habits, and productivity to improve my mental health and efficiency. One of the most impactful podcasts I've been listening to is about the science of habit building. It has assisted me in making tiny modifications to my daily routine that lead to larger, long-term gains in how I manage my time and energy.
In addition, I've been independently learning about financial literacy through online classes and YouTube videos. These platforms provide bite-sized, easily accessible lessons that fit seamlessly into my timetable. These materials, which range from learning about investment methods to understanding personal budgeting, are assisting me in developing important life skills outside of the classroom.
This combination of podcasts and digital self-guided learning allows me to learn at my own pace and with a focus on my specific interests and goals.
