Most Helpful Study Method by Morgan - May 2016 Scholarship Essay

Majority of students have their own special study method that helps them to prepare for a test, quiz, and or some type of exam. Although many students may have similar studying methods, not every student practices the same method as another student. Every student is unique in their own way therefore, each student has their own preferred method of studying before they are tested on certain material.
Most students usually stress themselves out the night before an exam just because of their way of “studying” that they perform. By cramming in as much information into an individual’s head the night before an exam can actually cause students to not remember as much as they could if they prepared days before. However, there are some students who can successfully pass as exam by cramming as much information into their head the night before. There are also some students who just don’t study at all, and still manage to succeed on the exams. From personal experience, I have learned that whenever I review my notes, and rewrite them, almost a week’s worth in advance before an exam, I have done exceptionally well. However, aside from reviewing my notes almost a week before an exam, I also quiz myself on almost every fact that I wrote down at least three times in order to finally remember it. The more time that students give themselves to prepare for an exam, the less stressed that they will appear, and being less stressed about an exam means that students are more prepared and end up passing the exam.
Many students have their own preferred way of studying that reassures them of being prepared before they take some type of exam. However, students who choose to cram in as much information in the night before, and being completely stressed out, usually end up doing worse than students who give themselves enough time to be completely prepared for the exam.
