Keep Your Head Up by Morgan - April 2016 Scholarship Essay
"Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence." - Vince Lomabardi. Highschool can be very difficult when it comes to studies, sports, and your social life so in order to juggle between school and outside activities you need balance. Balance is one of the major things needed to stay on task and also enjoy other activities in highschool. In order to remain successful and stress free your studies should always come first under any circumstances or there would be times where you will be behind and loose track of what's really important.
Knowing what I know now as a senior in highschool, I would encourage everyone to always keep their head up and focus on the future. There will be hard times and bad days but it is all apart of the process. There will be difficult classes and subjects that can be extremely stressful but it's all about having great study habits and teamwork with peers to succeed. Helping eachother collaborate is a great resource to use.
Strive for good grades and join several clubs and extra curricular activities that will benefit you and your future. For example the Student Government Association is one of the most common clubs to participate in and it involves fun hobbies that appeals to peers and can create great friendships as well. Always keep a positive attitude and remain level headed and focused. Talk to counselors and learn new ways to benefit your school and your future . Community service and scholarships are ways to get a headstart on your future and save a lot of money as well. Highschool is all about preparation and making the future a priority . I encourage everyone to always chase their dreams and strive for success.
