A year older, A year wiser by Miko - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

2015 was filled with many high points and many low point. There are multiple things that could be done differently to improve myself. A simple questions could change the way I think of things.
My New Years resolution, is to ask more questions. Questions are frustrating, repetitive, and sometimes go unanswered. However, they are necessary. Asking questions is how we learn, how we prosper. Your mind alone is complex. Your mind with the addition of thoughts from another mind can lead to something incredible. Research and experiments are based on questions. You ask a testable question, form a hypothesis and perform an experiment. This is how scientists discover worldwide phenomenon. Questions have great power, and I want to be great. I have never asked many questions. I have ADD, meaning sometimes, most times, I need to learn a bit differently. And questions don't come to me as fast as I wish they did. My mind is busy going over a million different things before I can pin point what I don't understand, so I have to work harder. I will have to work harder to ask more questions and form more as well. I'm okay with that, because ultimately I can gain reward. And not just what I don't understand, but even what I want to understand. I want to learn, analyze and be a scientist. My resolution, although seemingly simple, will hopefully lead me to much greater things.
