Dinner With A Historical Figure by Mike - February 2016 Scholarship Essay

If I could have dinner with any historical figure, I would have it with George Washington. I say him for many reasons, but mainly because of the strong leader he was and because of the fact that he knew how this country should be ran.
In my life, I strive to be a leader in the classroom, at work or any other setting I am in. I believe that I could learn a tremendous amount about leadership from George Washington. He led so many different groups of guys into battle and he also led this country at the beginning of its independance.
Also, looking at the time we are in, we have many different candidates running for the next presidential election. I believe that talking to George Washington could give me a better idea of who I should vote for and what I should do to insure that this county stays on track and focused on the right things.
By speaking with George Washington, I think that I would be able to improve my leadership skills and I would be able to improve my understanding of what it means to be an American. George Washington to me is the greatest leader in history and I would be honored just to have one lunch with him to learn a little bit about how he was such an affective leader.
