A subject worth mentioning, although is often seen as useless and considered by many students not to be a course, math has been my favorite subject throughout my high school career. To some people, this subject is one of the most frustrating courses there are because of the implications of numbers and letters. Additionally, different sets of formulas were created to make math work as a whole.

Problem solving is an issue I love to endorse myself in. When there’s a problem or issue, there will always be a solution. Even so, there won’t always be a straightforward solution because of countless challenges that have a probability of standing in the way. Following the steps to the core and successfully achieving your goal is truly refreshing. Solving equations is similar to resolving conflict personally. This traces back to literature and language. The connection between the two are not far off except being given formulas and ways of solving problems in math. In literature, it’s the student’s duty to think outside the box, learn, and communicate to find a solution.

Communication is also a key point when learning mathematics. Many people refer to math as an independent study because of how it challenges students. Despite that it’s almost always taught independently, having group studies with other students is also reassuring to have. Maybe not having big projects for math isn’t ideal, but conversing with classmates and teachers to find answers is a simple step to success. Having or providing insight on a subject that’s often nauseating can release stress and would most certainly make the workload much easier than intended to be.

Math has always been the most exciting and competitive field I’ve taken part in. Learning and teaching my companions along the way brings me joy of how I interpret the work; others can understand too. This has led me to take an extra course of math, allowing me to earn a STEM endorsement in the subject. Although I won’t be pursuing a career that highly focuses on math itself, I still plan to take that knowledge with me for the rest of my life as it still holds a special place in my heart. No matter how many times people call me weird for the affection I have for math, I’ll never back down or regress my feelings for it. With hopes and dreams there could come a day where I can lead a conversation or project on this subject. There’s no telling when I'd like to show off those skills or to use them when I really need it. Until the day comes when someone seeks my guidance, I would gladly pave the path to their own success.
