Qualities by Miguel - December 2018 Scholarship Essay
Visionary and unbiased would be two qualities I would look for if I was on the committee of the Nobel Prize. The Nobel Prize is known for being awarded to individuals who have done something that benefits mankind. With that being said, two of the qualities I would look for would be that they would have to be visionary and they would have to be unbiased.
Since I am part of the committee of the Nobel Prize, this are some qualities I would be searching or looking for on a person. Being unbiased means that they are open-minded, they are open to new ideas, they listen and give chances to opinion. Also, being unbiased means people don’t judge, they don’t see things “from the side”. They see things from all perspectives, as complete.
Unbiased is one quality as well as having vision or being visionary. Being visionary for me means that they are particularly creative and imaginative. Which they commit on achieving their goals, their ideas. When they stick to something, they would carry it out to complete it. They thrive to achieve their goals, less not forget, this people fail or don’t succeed, but that won’t mean they would stop there and let failure get them. They perceive to do it, they use that failure to make them stronger. For me, in order to succeed, we must learn from our mistakes, take those failures for granted and grow from them.
The last winner of the Noble prize was Denis Mukwege, he is a Congolese gynecologist and pastor, and he also works at a hospital in which he specializes in the treatment of women who have been raped. He showed vision, he grew up to help women, and he needed to work on those women, to help where he lives. To show that where he grew up and raised is important to him.
Overall, for me, the two qualities I would look for on a person for the Nobel Prize, it would be unbiased and visionary. These two qualities are important because it shows that some people are different, that they become leaders, those who help grow, not only them, but also those who surround them, that is a leader for me and those are two qualities I think people who become nominated for the Nobel Prize, should have.
