How many kids have used their time on unproductive things saying things such as, " oh, I will do this essay after I hang with friends" or " This project isn't due until next week I have time."? I'm sure you have heard or even said that often. That is why my new year's resolution this year is to manage my time more wisely and efficiently.
With me being a senior with dual enrollment and Advanced Placement classes, also managing to work a part time and maintaining an active social life it gets really hectic. Being a teenager I try to focus on my social life while I still have it. When I tend to do that it results in procrastination- doing everything at the last minute. This has caused my stress level to go through the roof. With graduation right around the corner I knew it was my best bet to start managing my time wisely.
In the process of managing my time wisely and efficiently, everyday if I have things such as- homework, quizzes, tests, or projects coming up i will write them down. When I write them down I will rank them of which one is more urgent. Then i will make a schedule balancing out all the things I need to do so I can get work for all my work done, but the urgent ones will get the most time. If I do that for the next 18 weeks remaining I think I will get more done and also my stress level will go down tremendously.
This obstacle could be the same more many others and also this will not be easy. But as a senior who next year will be off into the real world, I have to put the important priorities first before my time runs out.
