High School is a time in your life when you get to start making big choices and choosing how you want to be remembered. This is the time where your physical appearance does not define you but actions create your name. I want to be remembered as being a leader in my school not a follower. This is why all four years of high school I have positively impacted my fellow classmates using leadership skills.

On a daily basis I go around talking to many people on campus and simply asking them how their day is going or just smile to brighten their day. We never know what people are going through in their personal life so it's always a good idea to be kind. Not only am I their to get a quick response but if I see my friends feeling down I will always say “im here for you”. This can mean so much to someone and it can help when they know they have someone they can vent to. Being kind and showing empathy can make you closer with the students and create a more friendly student body.
With high school having over 300 kids it is hard to find time to talk to each and everyone one of them. That is why I decided to sign up for an on campus leadership program called Principle Centered Leadership. This gave me the opportunity to spread positivity throughout the campus. I help spread positivity by helping out with recognizing all the extracurriculars and sports in our school. A simple good luck treat or a poster makes the students know they are cared for and always brings a smile to their faces.
