The Art of Projects - Varsity Tutors Scholarship Essay by Mehdi - December 2017 Scholarship Essay

People everywhere see projects as a hassle, a way for teachers to give students a lot of work, outside the classroom, projects are also seen as a make or break situation for many people trying to pass their classes. For me, projects have always been a grade booster, it is something I know I can get a great grade in, because I always put in the hard work and dedication I have to in order to assure my grade to become an A.
One of the major points to look for when doing a project is to ask for a rubric, many teachers are willing to give students the rubric to enable them to be sure they hit every point they want to see on the project, you just have to ask. When a rubric is with you, it makes it much easier to organize your project into different sections to make it clear and concise to where each point is being made. Separating your project will be fairly simple and will make it easier for your teacher or professor to grade you, making sure every point on the rubric is checked off is key.
Another major point in creating a project is to be creative. Your project is their to grab the attention of the people you are speaking to, not to be the reading of an essay. Your focal point should be on the information, but making your visuals easy to understand, clear, and overall simply aesthetically pleasing is the key to making your project visually appealing. Use inverted colors for your background and your wording, allowing your words to be easily read, remove the white background from your pictures, add transitions if you are doing a Powerpoint or Prezi presentation.
Doing a project is about the little things, its about making a helper to aid you visually, and to keep you on track of the point you are trying to make. A project is about relaying a message about the topic, while creating an environment where all eyes are on you.
