NC by Megan - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

Ten years from now, my life will be drastically different. My dreams will be in full swing, and I will be a well-off individual. Right now I dream of becoming a Physician's Assistant and learning to speak multiple different languages; such as Chinese and Spanish. I will be independent and have my own home and family. I will be able to support myself and the people who I care for. All of these things I can only dream of and hope to achieve in the near future. Ten years from now, I will hopefully have made it to China and New Zealand either through study abroad opportunities or scholarships. I will be young enough to still have fun in life but old enough to have become a more mature person.
Education is the key to achieving my dreams, as it will open more opportunities as I continue to pursue a master's degree. It will help me earn a respected title so that I can travel and work at the same time. Education will allow me to combine both my passion for helping others and my drive for learning to speak in new languages together to create a brighter future for myself. Education is the key in our society to achieving success, and when it comes down to it, education can determine the course that you will follow for the rest of your life. When I have finally settled down and fallen back into a stable yet comfortable routine, ten years from now, I will thank my friends, family, and peers for encouraging me through my difficult tests and assignments, because my life will all be accredited to the education with which I had the opportunity to pursue.
