The Keys To A Successful School Project by Megan - December 2017 Scholarship Essay
A school project can have various outcomes depending on how you approach it. The main prevention of success on a project would be “the big P”, also known as procrastination. We tend to let distractions interfere with our concentration. With these 4 simple steps having an efficacious school project should be a piece of cake.
The first step is to Research if the project requires it. There are a variety of resources to use such as the worldwide web, books, etc. It’s always good to have background knowledge because it helps you further your knowledge. When you research, it shows that you know your material and that you comprehend it.
The second step for success on a school project is Planning. Planning plays an imperative role in any type of project. For example, I had an oratory project, where I had to memorize a certain part of the declaration of independence. I planned how I was going to present it so the audience could get a clear understanding of the document itself. Planning can also help you organize and piece your project together.
The third step is Time Management. Managing your time is a great skill because it helps you balance out things you need to do and your leisure time. If you start your project early or when you first get it. That means you’ll be finished early which results in a happy and stress-free you!
The fourth step is Feedback. You can never go wrong with getting advice from your peers or even your teacher. Let’s say you run into an issue and need some help. Or you might just want their opinion. It can help guide you and help see what you may need to critique.
