Life Lesson by: McKayla Moore by McKayla - July 2016 Scholarship Essay
During my high school years I had the pleasure to get close to multiple of my teachers. Whenever I think of my time in high school I remember some of my closest friends that happened to be my teachers as well. I remember Mrs. Amanda Gum, Mrs. Krity Craddock, Miss Alexandria Bonazzo, and Mrs. Charity Dean. All amazing woman that had such incredible lessons to teach their students and not just class lessons but life lessons.
The lesson that sticks out the most is one Mrs. Charity Dean taught me. During my senior year a lot happened in our Agriculture department to where the following year our school would lose an Agriculture teacher which happened to be Mrs. Charity Dean. Throughout the year she showed strength and still continued to be the amazing teacher she was before the upsetting news. She never quit giving it her all for her students. I watched her as she made some of the most fun lesson plans and spent countless hours helping her get everything ready for her last year at Braxton County High School. The lesson I learned from this is that no matter what obstacles come in your way keep giving it your all and never give up on what you started.
With my four years of high school this is the biggest lesson I learned it may of not been a taught lesson but watching her overcome this challenge was more moving and touching then any taught lesson ever could be.
