If I could have dinner with any US President, I would dine with President Theodore Roosevelt. President Roosevelt was one of the few Presidents in American history that had a personality that everyone loved. He was a veteran from the US Navy and was one of the first environmentalist in America.
Being a veteran from the Spanish American War, I believe that President Roosevelt would have hundreds of stories that can be shared at a dinner table. With President Roosevelt being a veteran from the Navy, I am also sure that he could give me, an aspiring Navy sailor, a few tips. Even though there is a time gap between our service, the methodology of the US Navy has always been the same.
In addition to this, President Roosevelt was an avid environmentalist with most of his domestic policies involving the preservation of natural environments. My intended future career is Environmental Engineering, and I would be helping to preserve and improve the state of the environment. During our dinner, I would inform President Roosevelt about the state of the environment and how it has been changed ever since his death. I would ask him for his insight on how society can further improve the environment since he was one of the first Americans to start the environmentalist movement in politics.
In conclusion, I would dine with President Theodore Roosevelt because our interest have similarities, and I believe his expertise would impact me greatly in making decisions that does not impact just myself, but my community as a whole.
