Drama Class Realization
There are always those certain people that you are drawn to. They are easy to be around, funny, confident and seem to have a lot of friends. They never seemed to work hard for any of it. I always envied them growing up. I wanted to be like them or at the very least, be around them.
It wasn’t until I took a drama class in High School and got up on stage and realized I was entertaining people. They were laughing and enjoying my performance. I made a lot of friends and I began to realize that I was one of those people that I envied. I was funny, confident and drew people in. I became what was considered a “ham” and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I recognized I had some of the qualities of a leader: honesty, communication, creativity and confidence were my strong ones. My view of a leader was very narrow before. There were more leaders around me than I thought. With that being said, absolutely you need leadership qualities to be successful in college. But they don’t have to be loud or boisterous. They can be subtle, but they need to be there if you want to succeed.
