School in the Future by Marissa - May 2020 Scholarship Essay

In 50 years from now, I think that education will look a lot different in the future than today. I think that children won’t be going to school and instead do online school. Technology is being used more today than ever and technology will continue to increase.
So many students are going cyber or homeschooled and that might happen years from now. Teachers are using more electronics today instead of writing on chalk boards or wipe boards. Some teachers that I have, use a tablet or laptop. They use those electronics while they stand in front of their classroom as they teach their students. I think that a lot teachers enjoy facing their students instead of their backs facing them. Teachers would rather look at their students better so they can easily answer questions or if they need help.
Technology is going to increase more and students may have to stay home and do online school. If they would have to do online school from home, teachers can still send them stuff to do online and students can do work on their own pace. Students wouldn’t have to have to constantly keep up with their work like they would at school and they can figure out a schedule that will help them to do their work. The only bad thing that I think wouldn’t turn out is that teachers will start complaining because they will miss spending time face to face with their students as they teach them in a classroom. This could be a difficult situation because teachers will miss teaching their students physically and parents might have to help their children if they need help with any of their work, but they might not know how to do a problem and then the parents will need to help. Parents might have to reteach themselves all over again so that they will be able to help their children.
Online school could be a potential thing that could happen in the future. There are some pros and cons about having online school at homes, but if it’s something that needs to be done, then it will happen.
