A Beautiful World by Mariah - April 2025 Scholarship Essay

When I start college in the fall of 2025 I will be majoring in Chemistry. I selected this major because I would like to develop my own hair and skin care product line. Currently I am a high school senior majoring in Cosmetology and I will be taking my start board exams to become a licensed Cosmetologist before I graduate in May. I have a passion for making others happy. I feel that when people look good, they feel good and have more confidence in themselves and their abilities. I do not want to be the face of someone else's products or just come up with a name so someone else can do the hard work. I want to do it all. I want to be educated enough to develop formulas that will work on all types of hair and skin. I want the world to know my name and my brand. I also want my items to be affordable for everyone. I feel that obtaining the education and knowledge to do so will allow me to learn every part of the process from development to branding. Being knowledgeable and educated will give me the opportunity to start small without having to hire a large amount of staff members. Once my products are ready, tested and approved they can be introduced to the world which will allow me to expand my business, hire more staff and grow beyond my wildest dreams. My goal as a Cosmetologist/Chemist to become a household name and make the world beautiful one person at a time.
