College: Success for life by mariah - April 2020 Scholarship Essay

College: a current dilemma for the students of today and tomorrow. I'll be upfront and honest, college for me, is still a huge fight for me. even at 29 years old. I have been in and out of school for a couple years here and there. But now here I am trying my hardest with fiber of my being to finish nursing school because I know that I was meant to be a caregiver. College education is so much more than education. I believe it is a life challenge and an aspect of living that is important.
College or higher education gives you life skills to be an active member of society and be overall successful. Money management, communication with superiors, critical thinking skills, and the achievement at the end of completing your goals. The skill set you or I would achieve from attending college is unparalleled with almost anything else you can do with your life. Not to mention just for the right to say, you achieved a college degree. I won't sit here and say it is the most important thing you can do with your life, however I do believe in accomplishing whatever you put your mind to and not being scared to challenge yourself and better your life.
