As I near the end of my high school journey, I have decided that I would like to pursue a career in Radiography. I've always been interested in a career in medicine, as I find joy in the procedures and practices. I have seen how this path could allow me to help my community, which motivates me to achieve this goal of mine.

Radiography is the practice of taking pictures of people's anatomy through the use of x-rays. This specialized practice aids the attender in diagnosing and treating patients. It plays an important role in detecting diseases, anomalies, and skeletal structural damage. Radiographers handle patients with care with protective equipment and proper technique.

I chose SCF for its distinct Radiography degree. This program provides the necessary education that would prepare me for a successful career. Attending SCF allows me to live at home while I continue my studies and provides a low-cost option, which is crucial for my situation. I plan to attain my AS and move directly to the workforce.

I am deeply thankful to have the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. Given my family's situation, this scholarship could change my life for the better. I truly believe that I am a deserving candidate and would take full advantage of this incredible opportunity.
