How Education Made Me Who I Am by Marcus - December 2014 Scholarship Essay
Education is the number one thing in making yourself successful. There is nothing else like it. Anyone else who says otherwise does not have the want and desire to be successful and will wind up someday being in debt and struggle in life. I believe that education is key to being all you can be in life.
In my experiences, I have been lucky enough to be put into situations that can only benefit my life. With the option school I go to, many people have given me one on one personal help whenever I need it, and they give strong sources to learn from.
With the education I am receiving, it will prepare me for my life going into the health care industry, and opportunities given will be received by me. The wiser I get, the more goals I will reach. Without my education I would never have volunteered at a hospital or take extra classes outside of school, or even push for dual credit at my high school.
Education had made me who am I today by enlightening me on what I truly want from life. It is so important to get a good education. Look around at the streets, when you see people are struggling it is almost for certain that they had made choices they would've avoided if they were educated. So I just keep in mind that the education I am getting will always play through and help me in life.
