African History by Marcus - October 2016 Scholarship Essay

If I had a chance to teach a subject it would be History. History is intriguing to me and I would love to teach it to others. Reach one teach one.
The type of History I would teach is African history. It has so much to it that our young generation needs to know. They need to know why this and that happen and how they overcame their ordeal. An example of African history is slavery.
It is a lot students can learn from African history. From the artifacts, temples, mummies and pyramids. African history would be fun to learn. President Barack Obama is a prime example of African history. He is the first African American President. For the past eight years he has made a change in America and African history.
The “Black Lives Matter” campaign was formed when the people have had enough of the police brutality and killing. They have brought a new face to the African history. African history has fallen apart and they are rebuilding it. It will take a minute but it will be reform.
If you sit down and read about African history yourself you can learn a lot. The cultures will bring a spotlight on you and you would want to adapt some of it. It is people who still live with the moral and values their ancestors brought down from generation to generation. African history would be fun to learn if you are interesting in learning.
