What leadership means to me is not merely a title or a position of authority but a profound commitment to inspire, guide, and empower others towards a common purpose. It is about setting a compelling vision that ignites passion and drives collective action. A true leader leads by example, showing integrity, empathy, and resilience in the face of challenges. They foster a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration, where every individual will feel valued and motivated to contribute their best. Leadership is a journey of continuous learning and self-improvement. It requires the willingness to active listen, learn, and adapt in response to feedback and changing circumstances. A great leader is not afraid to acknowledge their mistakes and learn from them, using failures as opportunities for growth and development. Leadership is about inspiring positive change, leaving a lasting impact that extends far beyond individual achievements, and empowering others to reach their full potential. Leadership is the ability to influence and guide individuals or groups toward a common goal. A leader must have several qualities to be effective, including communication skills. They also must be able to communicate their vision and goals clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

I have a few people in my life that have shown leadership in which are my parents and my two of my older cousins. I would say my parents because they are the first people in my life to ever show me and teach me how to deal with everything. They showed me what it is like to be yourself and not be a follower. I feel like most people would say their parents simply because parents often serve as the first role models in their lives. From a youthful age, children observe how their parents handle various situations, make decisions, and interact with others. Parents who exhibit qualities such as responsibility, resilience, empathy, and decisiveness are seen as leaders by their children. Additionally, parents are typically responsible for guiding and shaping their children's behaviors, values, and beliefs. This role inherently involves aspects of leadership, as parents they must provide direction, set boundaries, and inspire their children to grow and succeed.

My older cousins are considered leaders to me because as girls they can relate and understand the challenges they face, and they were able to guide me through certain situations as a teenager, that I would not tell my parents about. They showed me how to address certain situations and the right way to fix them.
