Goals by Maniya - August 2022 Scholarship Essay

A few of my career goals are to graduate with my Bachelor’s to enter the finance industry, obtain an internship from a top company to explore my options, be awarded scholarships, and enter programs that will allow me to gain experience and skills. I also want to enter the entrepreneurial industry, creating a nonprofit organization that will allow me to help younger students and prepare them for either a college career or the workforce.

To accomplish my career and personal goals, I plan to start by setting small goals. My goals include strengthening my study ethics, getting involved on campus, joining organizations, and networking with people. I believe that these small, yet attainable goals will place me in front of great opportunities. I am pushing to make the Chancellor’s List for this Fall semester, as well as my next 3 years in college. I also plan to apply for the Honors Program, to push myself to greater heights and receive the great opportunities the program has to offer to its students.

In the next 5 years, I see myself being successful. I see myself in a top corporation as a financial manager. I see myself being valued by my coworkers and higher-ups. I also see myself being able to contribute to my community whether it be financially or through resources. I want to be able to move from my hometown and hopefully relocate to a city or small town that will still allow me to achieve tremendous and effective goals.

I believe that I obtain various characteristics that will set me up to follow and pursue my dreams. I am very consistent, patient, and hardworking. I also am a great critical thinker and I love to analyze problems and come up with effective solutions. I believe with more motivation and guidance I will be able to follow every dream and goal I have for myself.
