My Majors by Makenzie - April 2025 Scholarship Essay

I am majoring in Marine Biology and Pre-vet. I decided to double major and I chose to major in these things because I want to become an aquatic veterinarian and help the ocean animals. I love animals and the ocean and I want to be the person to help them. I want to learn everything I can to help the ocean and the animals that live in it. I hope to reverse the damage that has been done to the ocean and be able to help the world with it.
This is a very interesting field for me because I really want to help animals and I love the ocean so this seemed like the perfect career for me. I have started my studies and I am loving learning about the ocean and animals. I find this very interesting and I love to learn about things that actually interest me. I have already learned so much about all of the animals and the different systems. I love to learn, but it is hard for me because of my learning disabilities. I have had to deal with them my whole life, but now I know if I really want something I just have to work hard to get there and achieve my dreams. I struggle with many things like math and reading, so this has always made school difficult for me, but if I try my hardest and work harder than most people my age I will be able to get myself to where I want to be. I have always been a hard worker and now is no exception I will work and study. I will learn everything That I need and get help when I need it.
