Academic Goals for Senior Year

Having academic goals is very important. I feel if you do not have them, you cannot challenge yourself to be a better student or a better you. Going into a new school year you need to be mentally and physically prepared, so you have a higher succession rate. Lots of students feel senior year is a year to slack of, but I am determined to bring up my GPA and really focus on the schoolwork instead of starting off strong and then casually bringing it down.
My goal for one is to focus more on classes. I feel that I am distracted easily and that is because my classes do not interest me. To fix this problem I am picking class that better suite me so I can excel in my classes. I also aim to be more involved in school, and to be out there more. I keep to myself a lot and I want to meet new people and be more involved in others' lives. Academically speaking I want to learn a lot more in Engineering. This interests me because I grew up around this and it still is. My dad works construction so whenever I am able to, I help because that is what I would like to excel in. I want to learn more about machinery and more able the trading and business part of this.
If I had to sum up what my goals are, they are to; focus more, be more involved in school, learn about what interests me, and having the determination to succeed. Even though there will be failures at some points it only makes me work harder knowing that if I do I can and will do better.
