I believe that a true leader possesses qualities such as empathy, resilience, and the ability to communicate effectively. Leadership is not just about directing others, but also about listening, understanding diverse perspectives, and empowering individuals to realize their potential.

In my life, one person who has exemplified outstanding leadership was my high school teacher during my senior year, Mrs. Dillon. Mrs.Dillon wasn't just an educator; she was a mentor and a role model. Her approach to leadership was characterized by her unwavering commitment to her students' growth, both academically and personally. Mrs. Dillon demonstrated leadership through her actions and interactions with her students. She had an open-door policy, always ready to listen to her students' concerns and provide guidance. Her empathy and genuine care created a safe and supportive learning environment where students felt valued and heard. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure that every student had the resources and support they needed to succeed.

Mrs. Johnson led by example. As an AP U.S. History and A.V.I.D (Advancement Via Individual Determination) teacher, she was passionate about her subject and ignited a similar passion in her students.
