Soft skills are essential in helping any individual become successful in education and eventually their future. Communication, motivation, time management, and problem solving are all necessary in creating success. However, the most important skill to develop a successful education is one’s attitude.

This quote says it best; “Your attitude, not aptitude, determines your altitude.” The altitude is synonymous with a person’s success. I believe that someone’s attitude can make or break your climb to the top. A negative attitude can be detrimental to someone who is looking for greater success because a negative attitude leads to quitting, giving up, and never reaching out of your comfort zone. I have seen so many of my classmates develop negative attitudes towards school, which ultimately leads them to not caring about their grades, and venturing off their pathway to success. Once someone stops caring or having a positive attitude about school, their success regarding education is over.

Therefore, a positive attitude towards education is the most impactful and important soft skill a student needs to develop, if they want to succeed. Staying optimistic, positive, and never giving up is the soft skill that needs to be developed in students to create successful educational goals and dreams.
