When I was young, I loved to read. I started reading at a very young age, so by the time I reached age 8, I was ready for young adult books. The first series I truly delved into was The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I would read it before bed every night with my mom.
These books made me so excited. I loved opening them up every night to see what adventures would occur each time I turned the page. My favorite part of the book had to be the strong female protagonists. Every book had a newly introduced female protagonist who led the story alongside all the previous titular characters.
I've thought a lot about these books since reading them at this young age. I've reread them many times to relive that nostalgic feeling I had when I initially read them.
In college, I plan to pursue film. I've always wanted to see these books accurately adapted into movies or television series, and an absolute dream would be to be involved. These books being adapted to screen would provide many good role models to young girls who stumble upon them, the same way I did many years ago.
