My senior quote is going to be a quote from Will Smith. This quote really gave me a different perspective on people in my life. Will Smith said, “Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your mind, feelings, and emotions.” When I first read this quote, I didn’t understand it. I thought too little of it and just read it off in my head, but I later realized that I wasn’t fully understanding it. This quote meant more than just words. Will Smith really made me think. I then read it again in my head and thought how you should not accept other people who beat you down emotionally and physically throughout life because you should have a life filled with happiness. You will always have fake friends thinking they are going to help you in times of need. Fake friends will make it convenient for them, they will think they are helping you but in the long wrong they don’t. Sometimes I would listen to it in my head and have different thoughts about the quote. This quote really stuck in my head throughout the years. In my perspective it truly explains who are your real friends and who is sticking around.There are going to be fake people in your life, it’s just going to happen hose type of people thinking they are helping when they are just making your emotions feel more unstable are not your true friends. This quote got me stuck in slow motion of just thinking all the different people in my life that have not benefited me at all; some of them do not care how I’m doing at all. I really took this quote as me waking up from fake friends. I realized I had a lot of fake friends, and it did not help that they do change my emotions frequently. I have read this quote to myself way too many times, and I have thought of how people have impacted me and my emotions. It has made me realize how much people can become monsters and how they will not even consider how other people feel. This quote has impacted my life in that it made me believe and realize that people who do not care about me and don’t do anything for me shouldn’t have the right to become in my life. The fake people in my life should not try to imagine what I am going through because they do not truly know me or my emotions. The quote Will Smith said made me really wonder if he is okay as a person.Will Smith had hardships in his life; people have tried to become in his life because he became famous. It is safe to say that Will Smith had fake friends throughout his life. This quote has changed my perspective on who are my real friends and who aren’t.
