My Senior Yearbook Quote by Madison - November 2018 Scholarship Essay

My senior yearbook quote would be "be bold enough to use your voice, brave enough to listen to your heart, and strong enough to live the life you have always imagined." This quote is perfect for me to use as my senior quote because it relates to me so well. This quote also says a lot about me because it relates to me so well. Most people know me as a very quiet person who is friendly, but also isn't afraid to say what she needs to say. I like to think about what I am going to say for as long as I need to so that way I can make sure it is the right thing to say. People might see me as a quiet person, but I have always wanted to make sure I was bold enough to say what I knew needed to be said whether that was to benefit myself or those around me. The first part definitely says a lot about me because it has always been a priority of mine to use my words to express myself in a wise way. The part about being brave enough to listen to your heart also says a lot about me because sometimes I get caught up in other people's opinions and sometimes it is hard for me to make a decision for myself. I really like to consider others when I am making my decisions because I want to make others happy, but I also know that doing that isn't always the best decision for myself. I need to be brave enough to continue to follow my own hopes and dreams because without the bravery, I can't go as far or reach the dreams and goals I have made. This also leads into being strong so you can live the life you have always imagined. I really do have a lot of hopes, dreams, and goals for myself in my life and my career, but life doesn't always go the exact way that you want it to. I have to be strong to allow myself to get through the struggles of life to reach all the dreams I have for myself. This says a lot about me because most people know that I am determined and choosing to include this part about being strong to live the life you have always imagined show others that I know it won't be easy, but that I will never give up. Overall the fact that I chose this whole quote really says a lot about who I am in general. Choosing this quote lets people know that one of my greatest goals in life is to be who I am and to be proud of it while having fun. It shows that I am a confident person who wants to always remember my worth and the fact that my life can really make a change. It shows that I am not overly optimistic, because I know that there will be struggles, but that I will choose to be optimistic throughout my life where the unknown can happen. This quote is perfect for my senior yearbook quote because it is everything that I am and everything that I want to represent.
