My Future by Madeline - March 2025 Scholarship Essay
Ten years is a long time from now and no one knows what the future will hold. Most people have no idea and just go where the wind takes them. However, I have goals that I want to achieve and I plan on achieving them.
In ten years, I will be 27. By that time, I want to be married and I want to be traveling. Since I don't plan on having kids until I'm 29 or 30, I'll have plenty of time to travel and set up my career. I want to travel out of the US and go to several different European countries, such as Greece, Rome, and Italy. I've always wanted to visit other countries from around the world. I find different cultures very interesting.
I want to live and raise my children in East Tennessee because the people here are very sweet and the weather is amazing. I would love for my kids to get to experience all four seasons like I got to when I was young. Some states don't get all four seasons like Tennessee does.
Career-wise, I want to be a lawyer. I plan to have graduated law school and already on my way to becoming a successful lawyer. In ten years, I expect myself to work for a law firm and be a lawyer with a good reputation, and be known for putting my heart into every case.
My education will help me achieve all of this because, without it, I wouldn't have some of the qualifications needed to become a lawyer. I need to go to school in order to be successful and to have a full understanding of my job and what I'm doing.
Overall, no one will really know what their life will look like in 10 years, but I have a plan that's sure to take me far!
