Communication: the key to a successful education by Mackenzie - February 2023 Scholarship Essay
Whether written or verbal, there's nothing worse than a person who can't communicate. Have you ever tried speaking to someone who doesn't know how to carry a conversation?
Or you send a text or wait for a response via e-mail, you get it, and you literally need to decipher the message because you have no clue what they're trying to say? If you're saying no to any of the above, please back up, reread what you just read and answer again. I promise there's been at least one of these times in your life.
Communication is the key to a successful education!
Your professor lectures. You don't understand. You ask a question. You're communicating.
Your required to complete a group project. You need to message group members. You're communicating.
Your professor gives you an assignment to be turned in at the most famous time college assignments are due - midnight. You're communicating.
You take a test, via computer, written, online, in the classroom. You're communicating.
You're a freshman and you can't find your classes. You ask where to go. You're communicating.
You have that advising session with your advisor to choose classes. You're communicating.
Whatever you're studying. Be it on campus or off. You're communicating.
Unless you're completely clueless ... lol! I think you get the point.
Without communication in education at any level, I just used college here as an example, you can't succeed for it is IMPOSSIBLE.
Communication is key ... without it, we cannot make it in school. Period. It is that simple.
