Night owl all the way by Mackenzie - January 2019 Scholarship Essay

When asked the question “are you a morning person or a night owl?” it takes me a minute to think about it. I am definitely a night owl. I feel that I am a night owl because that's when I am the most creative and most awake.

Many people see those who are morning people as productive people who get everything done because they wake up early and are ready to start the day while they see those who are night owls to be lazy and unproductive because they sleep the day away. Though most people who are night owls are not lazy. When it becomes dark that is when I usually am ready to start things such as clean my room or the house. I become a very creative person at night, one of my favorite things to do that helps my creativity to come out is paint during the night. The reason I am the most productive at this time is because it really takes me all day to finally become awake. Also during the night is when people are the most honest and real because others are awake to judge and propose their own opinions on things rather than let others say how they feel.

In conclusion being a night owl is great in my opinion and I wouldn't want to change that to become a morning person. I am definitely more myself at night than in the morning.
