Extraordinary by Louie - December 2018 Scholarship Essay
Extraordinary people can come from anywhere and be anyone. Their works, should they qualify for being granted a Nobel Prize, are a distinct type of success that elevates the human understanding of our world. These people are of great talent and may potentially decide the ever-changing fate of humanity.
From my subjective view, an extraordinary person worthy of being granted a Nobel prize would possibly have the characteristics of being moral and motivated to strive for greatness beyond our limitations. These people may or may not possibly be leaders however, they are people that are in constant thought about how their work may benefit for the greater good of humanity socially, economically, and perhaps even universally. This person who I deem worthy to claim a Nobel Prize is someone who brings forth a rubble-ridden road to guide humanity onto a gradual path to what we may claim as truth, while recognizing the limitations and dangers of such pursuance.
These traits are what I believe best represent the traits of an extraordinary person worthy of a Nobel Prize. They acknowledge our limitations as humans yet strive to carefully break boundaries that don't entirely compromise human integrity and morality. The achievements of these people are the rudder of this ship called, "Humanity," and our journey is long, even dangerous, but the adventure towards truth is one we can all set sail to.
